About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and physically fit Warehouse Assistant / Driver to join our growing team.
You will play an important role in ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, loaded and delivered safely and efficiently. The role involves handling heavy appliances, so previous experience with heavy lifting is essential.
We are looking for someone with a positive “can-do” attitude, strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to providing excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, load and unload goods safely and accurately.
- Check all goods against relevant paperwork to ensure accuracy.
- Handle appliances weighing up to 170kg with care.
- Store and rotate stock in accordance with company procedures.
- Report damaged, missing or incorrect goods to the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe at all times.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and report any issues promptly.
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Use handheld scanners to assist with stock control and inventory management.
- Follow operational procedures, schedules and productivity targets.
- Safeguard company goods and assets and report any suspicious activity.
- Work effectively as part of a busy warehouse team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should:
- Have at least 1 year of warehouse experience.
- Have previous experience handling and lifting heavy goods.
- Be physically fit and comfortable loading and unloading large appliances.
- Be reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Be a positive and enthusiastic team player.
- Be willing to get involved and support colleagues when needed.
- Take pride in doing a job well.
- Have a friendly, flexible and “can-do” attitude.
- Understand the importance of workplace health and safety.
