About the Role
We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Bakery / Café Shop Assistant to join our busy and welcoming team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in great customer service, and thrives in a fast-paced food environment.
You’ll be involved in preparing and serving food and drinks while ensuring high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and customer satisfaction at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve hot and cold sandwiches, food, and drinks (including coffee and tea)
- Provide friendly, professional customer service
- Assist with food preparation such as sandwiches, salads, and light snacks
- Operate the till, process cash and card payments accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all work areas
- Restock supplies to keep the shop running smoothly
- Follow all food safety, health, and safety regulations
- Keep the shop tidy, organised, and welcoming
What We’re Looking For
- Previous café, bakery, or hospitality experience preferred
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic maths skills for handling payments
- Ability to work efficiently during busy periods
- Positive attitude and good teamwork skills
(Training will be provided for the right candidate)
Working Hours
- Working 2 days per week, 9am–2pm
- Days include Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday
- Opportunity for additional hours
- Possible Saturday shifts: 9am–3pm
