Job Overview
We are looking for a caring and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team in a care home setting. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting others and committed to promoting the dignity, comfort, and wellbeing of residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, and feeding
- Supporting residents with mobility within the care home
- Providing emotional support, companionship, and reassurance
- Following individual care plans to meet residents’ specific needs
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
- Accurately recording care information using IT systems
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or similar role (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping
- A compassionate, patient, and reliable nature
- Willingness to undergo a Disclosure check and join the PVG scheme
Education & Experience
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications (preferred)
- At least 1 year of care home experience (preferred)
