We are looking for a friendly and proactive Shop Assistant to join our bakery team in Pontnewydd NP44 1DW. This is a part-time, permanent role offering around 12 hours per week with pay starting from £12.21 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and assist with enquiries
- Provide product information and support sales
- Operate the till, process transactions accurately, and handle cash securely
- Restock shelves and maintain attractive displays
- Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and deliveries
- Keep the shop clean and organised
- Support team members with daily operations
- Engage with customers in multiple languages where applicable
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Organised, reliable, and able to multitask
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
- Multilingual skills highly desirable
