About the Role
Eventus Recruitment is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join a respected law firm based in the heart of Warrington. With over 60 years serving the local community, the firm is known for its trusted legal services to individuals, businesses, and charitable organisations.
You will become part of a collaborative and inclusive team, supporting legal finance operations while ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all banking procedures
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
- Post payments, receipts, and transfers in a timely manner
- Assist with month-end procedures
- Check bills and statements for accuracy
- Process card payments, BACS, and CHAPS transactions
- Handle queries from clients and fee earners
- Ensure smooth running of the cash office and compliance with SRA regulations
Person Specification
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Legal Cashier in an SRA-regulated law firm
- Strong knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules and legal sector accounting
- Excellent organisational skills and time management
- Strong communication skills at all levels
- Good computer literacy and ability to use initiative
- Team player with attention to detail
