Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen team. This role involves helping with food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and assisting with smooth kitchen operations. Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with meal preparation and food preparation tasks.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and hygienic according to food safety standards.
- Help prepare ingredients and support the assembly of dishes during service.
- Assist with serving meals to customers when needed.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely while following health and safety regulations.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Support stock management, including stock rotation and reporting shortages.
Requirements
- Previous kitchen, restaurant, or catering experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and food safety practices.
- Culinary training is beneficial but not required.
- Good organisation and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a busy kitchen environment.
