Overview
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and companionship to individuals either in care homes or within their own homes. Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, dressing, and mobility
- Support meal preparation and assist with feeding when required
- Promote clients’ independence while ensuring their safety and wellbeing
- Follow personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Remind clients to take medication in line with care plans
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to senior staff
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members
Skills & Requirements
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping and reporting
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- A valid driving licence (preferred for community-based roles)
- Empathy, patience, and a respectful attitude toward clients
- Understanding of health and safety practices in a care setting
