About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeping/Laundry Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents in our care home. This role is essential in ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow instructions from the Manager and Head Housekeeper.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in resident rooms and communal areas.
- Ensure all accommodation areas are tidy, presentable, and hazard-free.
- Carry out laundry duties, including washing, drying, and proper storage of items.
- Safely operate laundry equipment and report any faults.
- Handle residents’ clothing with care and report any damage.
- Collect and distribute laundry according to residents’ needs.
- Make beds and ensure rooms are neat and welcoming.
- Adhere to health & safety guidelines and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Requirements:
- Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Awareness of health and safety practices.
- Previous experience is helpful but not essential.
