About the Role
We are looking for a dependable and proactive Assistant Caretaker to support the daily operations of a school site. This is a hands-on role that plays an important part in maintaining a safe, secure, and well-managed environment for staff and students.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the school premises are secure, particularly during evening hours
- Receive deliveries and distribute goods to relevant departments
- Respond promptly to staff requests using the school radio system
- Maintain cleanliness of external areas, including sweeping hard surfaces
- Assist with general site maintenance and upkeep
- Support the overall safety and functionality of the school environment
Requirements
- Reliable, practical, and proactive approach to work
- Ability to carry out hands-on tasks and basic maintenance duties
- Basic DIY skills are desirable
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to support a variety of site-related tasks
