About the Family
A warm and welcoming family based in Muswell Hill is seeking a caring, experienced, and dedicated nanny to support the development and well-being of their 2-year-old son.
Role Overview
The nanny will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood development and enjoy engaging toddlers in play-based learning and age-appropriate activities.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare Duties:
- Provide attentive, full-time care for a toddler
- Handle diapering, dressing, and support potty training
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks
- Maintain a clean and organized play environment
- Ensure the child’s safety and well-being at all times
- Read, play, and engage in interactive activities
- Organize outings such as visits to parks and playgroups (weather permitting)
Developmental Support
- Gross Motor Skills: Encourage active play (e.g., running, climbing, ball games, outdoor play)
- Fine Motor Skills: Plan activities like puzzles, drawing, and arts & crafts
- Language Development: Promote communication through reading, singing, and conversation
- Cognitive Development: Introduce problem-solving and creative play activities
- Social & Emotional Development: Foster a supportive environment and guide social skills such as sharing and turn-taking
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with toddlers
- NVQ Level 2 in Childcare (preferred)
- Valid infant/child First Aid and CPR certification
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Energetic, positive, and genuinely passionate about childcare
- Strong references from previous roles
- Valid DBS check (within the last year or on the update service)
