Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our care home team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout residents’ rooms and shared areas, helping to create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas to a high standard
- Change bed linens and restock essential supplies and amenities
- Ensure corridors, lounges, and dining areas remain clean and well-presented
- Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly
- Replenish cleaning materials and supplies as needed
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures
- Handle waste disposal and laundry in line with organisational standards
- Support additional cleaning duties during busy periods or special events
Requirements
- Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or cleaning roles is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Flexible availability, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, and prolonged standing
- Positive, service-focused approach with a commitment to maintaining high standards
