About the Role
The Meadows Care Home is seeking a reliable and compassionate Kitchen Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will support the chef in delivering high-quality meals and a positive dining experience for our residents.
This is a part-time position with a 28-hour contract, working across a 7-day rota, including some weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the chef with food preparation
- Serve meals to residents, particularly during teatime
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
- Wash dishes and keep workstations tidy
- Support residents during mealtimes with care and respect
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a similar role is helpful but not essential
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Compassionate, respectful, and patient
- Ability to build relationships with residents and colleagues
- Willingness to learn and develop within the role
