About the Role
Spire Bushey Hospital is seeking a reliable and dedicated Bank Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This flexible role is ideal for someone who can work on an ad-hoc basis to cover annual leave, sickness, and busy periods.
As a Bank Housekeeper, you will ensure the hospital meets the highest standards of cleanliness while following infection prevention and health and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean patient rooms, clinical areas, and public spaces to a high standard.
- Complete daily cleaning schedules and prepare rooms for patient use.
- Follow infection control, COSHH, and health and safety policies.
- Report maintenance issues, equipment faults, or supply shortages.
- Work closely with housekeeping and clinical teams to support daily hospital operations.
- Handle cleaning equipment safely and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Comply with manual handling and workplace safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping experience.
- Experience in a customer-facing environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible, reliable, and customer-focused attitude.
- Willingness to complete mandatory training, including:
- COSHH
- Infection Control
- Manual Handling
- Food Hygiene
- Health & Safety
