About the Role
Tazaki Foods is looking for a reliable and professional Van Driver to join its transport team. In this role, you will ensure goods are delivered safely, on time, and in excellent condition while providing outstanding customer service. You will also support warehouse operations when required and help maintain the company’s high standards for food safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver customer orders accurately, safely, and on schedule.
- Load your vehicle and verify deliveries before departure.
- Keep the company vehicle clean, roadworthy, and report any faults or accidents promptly.
- Drive responsibly, following all road traffic laws and company driving policies.
- Obtain customer signatures as proof of delivery.
- Complete all required delivery, mileage, returns, and tachograph records.
- Maintain communication with the Transport Manager regarding customer issues or delivery concerns.
- Assist with warehouse duties as required.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, storage, and distribution procedures.
- Comply with Driver’s Hours Regulations and Road Safety Regulations.
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Good driving record and willingness to report any licence endorsements.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts.
- Ability to lift and handle goods safely.
- Team player with a commitment to safety and company procedures.
