About the Role
Compass Group UK&I is looking for a reliable and hardworking Assistant Caretaker to join its cleaning and facilities team in Twickenham.
In this hands-on role, you’ll help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for clients, customers and colleagues. You’ll work as part of a supportive facilities team and take pride in ensuring high standards are maintained every day.
Your Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Cleaning and maintaining designated areas to a high standard.
- Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping and vacuuming.
- Cleaning and sanitising floors, surfaces, windows and frequently touched areas.
- Responding quickly to spillages and other cleaning requirements.
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely.
- Monitoring cleaning materials and restocking supplies when needed.
- Working closely with the wider cleaning and facilities team.
- Following all relevant health, safety and hygiene procedures.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Be reliable, organised and hardworking.
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Enjoy practical, hands-on work.
- Be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Have a flexible approach to work.
- Have previous cleaning experience, although this is not essential.
A positive attitude and willingness to maintain high standards are more important than previous experience.
Working Hours
This is a 35-hour-per-week, full-time position, working Monday to Friday on afternoon shifts:
- Monday – Afternoon
- Tuesday – Afternoon
- Wednesday – Afternoon
- Thursday – Afternoon
- Friday – Afternoon
