Job Overview
Excelcare is looking for a caring, reliable, and hardworking Laundry Assistant to join the friendly team at Westport Care Home in Stepney Green, London.
You will help maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents. Working alongside the housekeeping team, you will support residents’ wellbeing and ensure high standards of cleanliness throughout the care home.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas.
- Carry out deep cleaning of floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, windows, and walls as required.
- Dispose of rubbish safely and correctly.
- Report equipment failures and maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow COSHH requirements and infection control procedures.
- Interact positively with residents, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect.
- Work with the housekeeping team to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
Requirements
