About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Housekeeping Assistant to join our care home team. In this role, you will help ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors, supporting their wellbeing and dignity.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain residents’ rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas
• Follow infection control, health, and safety procedures
• Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, and ironing
• Safely dispose of waste
• Replenish cleaning supplies and report maintenance issues
• Work respectfully around residents, maintaining privacy and dignity
• Support the wider care home team when required

About You

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable (especially in a care setting)
• Caring and respectful attitude towards elderly or vulnerable individuals
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible
• Basic understanding of health and safety practices
