About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and organised Laundry Assistant to help manage the laundry needs of our clients and ensure all clothing and linen is cleaned, maintained, and returned to the required standard.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the laundry area while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily laundry procedures and maintain the required workload.
- Sort and prepare laundry for washing and drying.
- Ensure laundry is correctly identified and handled.
- Maintain adequate supplies of detergent and fabric conditioner.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment safely.
- Clean and de-fluff dryers daily and report any equipment faults to the Supervisor.
- Handle soiled and infectious linen according to the correct procedures.
- Correctly label and mark clients’ clothing.
- Allocate clothing to the appropriate storage areas.
- Deliver clean clothing to clients’ rooms.
- Keep laundry rooms clean, tidy, and hygienic.
- Maintain clients’ wardrobes in a clean and organised condition.
- Iron clothing when required.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as requested.
