About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, efficient Coffee Shop Assistant to join our vibrant team. You will help deliver excellent customer service while preparing and serving hot and cold beverages, snacks, and light meals. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the hospitality industry, develop barista and food preparation skills, and work in a lively, team-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and speciality drinks to high standards
- Assist customers with their orders in a professional and friendly manner
- Operate the till and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café, including counters, seating, and prep areas
- Restock supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Support food preparation tasks as needed
- Uphold health and safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment
Experience & Skills
- Previous café, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred
- Barista experience advantageous but not essential (training provided)
- Knowledge of food safety, preparation processes, and serving techniques a plus
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
