About the Role:
Age UK is looking for a Shop Supervisor to join our friendly retail team in Ripon. Our shops play a vital role in supporting older people by generating essential income while providing a welcoming shopping experience for the local community.
As a Shop Supervisor, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the shop, deliver excellent customer service, and support the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service and create a positive shopping experience
- Support sales, stock rotation, pricing, and merchandising displays
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised shop environment
- Handle cash transactions accurately
- Deputise for the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager when needed
- Represent Age UK professionally and uphold the charity’s values
- Lift and move bags of stock (up to 10kg) as required
About You:
- Experience in a customer-facing retail role
- Confident handling cash and processing transactions
- Able to lift and carry stock up to 10kg
- Comfortable working both as part of a team and independently
- Flexible to cover holidays, sickness, and occasional events outside normal shop hours
