We are a busy and well-known shawarma restaurant located on Edgware Road, serving fresh and high-quality Middle Eastern food in a fast-paced environment. We are currently looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Cashier to join our team and help deliver excellent service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer payments (cash, card, and contactless) accurately
- Operate the POS system efficiently
- Take customer orders clearly and accurately (in person and over the phone when required)
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Answer customer questions about menu items and portion sizes
- Keep the front counter area clean and organised
- Balance the cash register at the start and end of each shift
- Assist the team during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred
- Experience in a restaurant or takeaway is an advantage
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
