About the Role
Dirty Dick’s, one of London’s iconic pubs on Bishopsgate, is looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join its hospitality team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and wants to build a career in hospitality.
As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll help keep the kitchen running efficiently by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, supporting chefs with daily tasks, and ensuring food preparation areas are organised and ready for service.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the kitchen team with day-to-day operations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.
- Assist with food preparation and basic kitchen duties.
- Wash kitchen equipment, utensils, and cookware.
- Follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
- Work closely with chefs to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
- Help maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
Requirements
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is an advantage but not essential.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering high standards.
