The role
A family in Muswell Hills is looking for a caring, experienced nanny for their 2-year-old son. You’ll give him a safe, loving and engaging home, and support his development through play-based learning and age-appropriate activities.
What you’ll do
- Provide full-time care, including nappy changes, dressing and potty training
- Prepare healthy snacks
- Keep the play area clean and organised
- Plan and run activities that support his development
- Keep him safe and well at all times
- Read to him and play with him
- Take him to parks, playgroups and other child-friendly activities, weather permitting
Supporting his development
- Gross motor skills: active play indoors and outdoors, such as walking, running, climbing, jumping, ball games and movement games
- Fine motor skills: puzzles, building blocks, drawing and simple arts and crafts
- Language: frequent conversation, songs, books and new vocabulary
- Thinking skills: age-appropriate toys and games that encourage problem-solving, exploration and creativity
- Social and emotional skills: a nurturing space where he feels safe to express his feelings, and help learning to share and take turns
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience with toddlers, ideally 3 years or more
- NVQ Level 2 in Childcare (preferred)
- Infant and child CPR and First Aid certification
- Excellent communication, with regular updates on his progress and activities
- Punctual, responsible and committed to consistent care
- A positive, energetic attitude and a genuine love of working with young children
- Excellent references from previous families
- A DBS check from within the last year, or registered on the DBS Update Service

- Hours: 45 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 5:45pm
- Pay: £19 to £21 gross per hour
