About the Role
We are looking for a professional, reliable, and safety-focused Bus Driver to join our team in Solihull. You will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently while providing a friendly and professional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate buses on designated routes and follow scheduled timetables.
- Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers at all times.
- Carry out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety checks.
- Keep accurate records of journeys, mileage, delays, and incidents.
- Communicate professionally with passengers, colleagues, and management.
- Assist passengers with boarding, alighting, and route information when required.
- Report vehicle faults and maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow all company policies, road traffic laws, and health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- A valid Category D driving licence.
- A clean driving record.
- Previous bus or commercial driving experience.
- Strong commitment to passenger and road safety.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Good time-management and organisational abilities.
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards is desirable.
