About the Role
Churchfield Court Residential Care Home is seeking a dependable, hardworking and friendly Domestic Cleaner to join our team.
As a Domestic Cleaner, you will help maintain a clean, hygienic and comfortable environment for our residents. You will play an important role in ensuring that the home remains welcoming, safe and pleasant for residents, their families, visitors and staff.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail and understands the importance of respecting residents’ privacy, dignity and personal space.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean residents’ bedrooms, including deep cleaning when required.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in communal areas, lounges, dining rooms, corridors, bathrooms, toilets and offices.
- Carry out vacuuming, dusting, mopping and surface cleaning.
- Strip and remake beds and clean mattresses in accordance with procedures.
- Assist with residents’ laundry when necessary.
- Use cleaning products, equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) safely.
- Follow infection prevention, hygiene and control procedures.
- Comply with COSHH regulations and workplace health and safety policies.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and report when stock needs replenishing.
- Report damaged equipment, maintenance problems and any other concerns promptly.
- Complete cleaning schedules, checklists and relevant records accurately.
- Attend mandatory training and complete required e-learning.
- Follow company policies and undertake other reasonable duties related to the role.

Previous experience: At least one year of cleaning experience is preferred but not essential. Experience in a care home, healthcare facility or similar environment would be an advantage, and training will be provided.
