About the Role
Sanctuary Students is looking for an experienced Maintenance Caretaker to join our team and support the upkeep of student accommodation sites across Liverpool. You will help ensure our properties remain safe, clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for students.
The role will involve working across two Liverpool sites, with occasional travel required to our Ormskirk accommodation site (approximately twice per month when scheduled).
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance tasks, repairs, and routine checks across accommodation sites.
- Identify maintenance issues and report problems requiring specialist support.
- Complete building inspections, safety checks, and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Carry out planned maintenance work and provide accurate updates on progress.
- Maintain stock levels of maintenance supplies and reorder when required.
- Ensure waste is managed correctly and communal areas remain clean and tidy.
- Provide a helpful and professional service to students and colleagues.
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience in caretaking, maintenance, or cleaning roles is essential.
- Practical ability to identify and complete basic repairs.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow written instructions, keep accurate records, and organise workloads effectively.
- Flexible approach with the ability to work across different locations.
