About the Role
Hollywood Bowl Group is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Manager to help lead its busy entertainment centre in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with management experience who enjoys delivering outstanding customer service, leading teams, and creating a fun, welcoming environment.
You’ll support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the centre, ensuring smooth operations across all areas, including bowling lanes, the bar and diner, and the amusements area. The role combines leadership, customer service, team development, and operational management in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily management of the entertainment centre.
- Lead, motivate, and develop team members to deliver excellent customer service.
- Assist in achieving operational and financial performance targets.
- Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and customer experience.
- Coach and mentor employees while promoting a positive team culture.
- Help manage front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Ensure customers enjoy a safe, fun, and memorable experience.
- Work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Requirements
- Previous management experience, ideally in hospitality, leisure, or retail.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Experience motivating and developing teams.
- Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
