About the Role
Zones is a global provider of end-to-end IT solutions, operating across more than 120 countries. We are looking for a reliable and organised Warehouse Assistant to support our daily logistics and warehouse operations.
You will help ensure goods are received, stored, prepared, and dispatched efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound & Outbound Logistics
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods
- Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for dispatch
- Load and unload deliveries using appropriate warehouse equipment
- Operate pallet trucks and forklifts where appropriately trained and certified
Inventory Management
- Carry out regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records
- Update warehouse systems and scanning equipment
- Report damaged goods or stock discrepancies promptly
- Store products safely and according to company procedures
Warehouse Operations
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and safe
- Follow waste separation and recycling procedures
- Use warehouse equipment responsibly
- Follow company processes and quality standards
Health & Safety
- Follow UK workplace health and safety requirements
- Wear PPE when required
- Attend safety briefings, toolbox talks, and required training
- Report potential hazards and safety concerns
What We’re Looking For
- Basic knowledge of warehouse and logistics operations
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
- Good physical fitness and ability to safely lift and move goods
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic computer skills, including warehouse scanning or inventory systems
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is desirable
- A valid forklift certificate is an advantage, although training may be available
Working Conditions
The role involves standing for extended periods, lifting goods, and carrying out repetitive tasks.
Weekend availability is essential, with regular work on Saturday and Sunday.
